Taxidermy School Class Information and Course Description 



    Students will be instructed on basic and advanced taxidermy techniques needed to master the art of Wildlife Taxidermy. The course is designed to be an intensive 12-week hands-on program of instruction for the hobbyist or student looking to become a professional in the field of taxidermy. The course will cover all concepts involved in bird mounting, mammal / game head mounting, and fish mounting.

    Class size is limited to only three students per session. A basic tool kit will be provided to the student that will be given to that student upon conclusion of the 12-week program.

Classes run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for 12 weeks.

 
    During this time the student will learn all components in mounting the following:

    Two game heads
    Two game birds
    Two water foul
    Five warm-water fish
    One rug
    And two small mammals

  
    Also important, because this a hands-on program, attendance is greatly encouraged and is necessary in the learning process. Attendance will be taken every class session by the instructor.

TUITION INFORMATION



    Tuition for Basic Taxidermy and Techniques is $8,845.00.
    There is an application fee of $150.00 for a total of $8,995.00.

    The application fee and tuition must be paid in full at least 1 week prior to the start of the program. East Coast Institute of Taxidermy Inc. will refund all monies paid for a student cancelling within five calendar days after signing the enrollment agreement, only if a student requests a refund in writing within 10 business days prior to the first day of class. Tuition refunds are issued on a pro-rated hourly basis after the start of class, according to the hours completed. The student will also be responsible to pay back any money put out by the school for the student. This money will be deducted from the refund money.

  All other refunds will be issued on a pro-rated basis after the start of class according to the withdraw date. (please refer to refund schedule below) Any moneys advanced by the school on the students' behalf will not be refunded. These moneys will be deducted from the refund.

    East Coast Institute of Taxidermy will provide all tools needed for the program, at no additional cost to the student, and a set of basic tools for the student to use and keep. The student will also receive "The Breakthrough Taxidermy Manuals" that will be required for the program.



LODGING INFORMATION

East Coast Institute of Taxidermy does not provide room and board for students. Every effort will be taken by the school to assist students in finding living arrangements in the hotels and motels of the area.
